Call for Contributions

TechArts 2025 invites contributions across three tracks. All contributions are reviewed through the same submission site and follow the same timeline; submission templates differ by track.

Important dates — Submissions open 1 May 2025. Submissions close 15 July 2025. Notifications 20 August 2025. Camera-ready 15 September 2025. Conference 16–17 October 2025.

Papers track

The Papers track publishes original research on creative computing, interactive systems, and adjacent areas. Two paper formats are accepted:

  • Long papers (up to 8 pages) — mature work with complete methodology and evaluation. Presented as 15-minute talks.
  • Short papers, posters and demos (up to 4 pages) — early-stage work, novel prototypes, and case studies. Presented as 5–8 minute talks, posters, or live demos depending on what best suits the contribution.

All papers are peer-reviewed and appear in the open-access proceedings.

Artworks track

The Artworks track welcomes completed works for presentation at the conference venue in two formats:

  • Installations — works exhibited across the full duration of the conference in the Gallery Hall.
  • Performances — scored or improvised works presented at the Performance Night in the Black Box Theatre.

A single work may be proposed as both an installation and a performance; see Feedback Garden for an example of this hybrid format.

Workshops track

The Workshops track runs hands-on half-day sessions in parallel with the conference program. Proposals should describe the intended audience, prerequisites, materials required, and the practical outcome participants will take away.

Workshop proposals are capped at two pages and must include a clear logistics plan. Venue-provided equipment is limited; check the venue guide before proposing hardware-heavy workshops.

Reviewing

All tracks use double-anonymous peer review with at least three reviewers per submission. Meta-reviews are provided for disagreements. The review form is published on the submission site.
